About Saint Bernards

The Saint Bernard is a large working dog breed originating from the Western Alps in Italy and Switzerland. Famously considered one of Switzerland's most iconic ambassadors, they were originally bred and trained by monks to save travelers in the Alps. They are known as gentle giants with a large, muscular frame and a dense, protective coat.
